TMJ & Jaw Pain Therapy

Specialized TMJ treatment for jaw pain, clicking, locking, and headaches.

Specialized TMJ Program

Jaw pain, clicking, locking, headaches, limited opening — these aren’t problems you just live with. Forward’s TMJ program combines manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, dry needling, and patient education to address the mechanics behind your symptoms.

What We Treat

  • TMJ dysfunction — disc displacement, joint hypomobility and hypermobility
  • Myofascial pain — masseter, temporalis, pterygoid trigger points
  • Headaches — cervicogenic and tension-type related to jaw mechanics
  • Bruxism effects — muscle tension and joint stress from clenching and grinding
  • Post-surgical — jaw surgery recovery and ROM restoration

Manual Therapy for the Jaw

Intraoral and extraoral soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, dry needling of the masticatory muscles, and cervical spine treatment. The jaw doesn’t work in isolation — we treat the neck, thoracic spine, and postural contributors alongside the joint itself.

Working with Your Dental Team

We coordinate with your dentist, oral surgeon, or orthodontist. Splints and guards address the dental side — we address the movement side. Together, the full picture gets treated.
