You Don’t Need a Referral
Wisconsin is a direct access state. That means you have the legal right to see a Doctor of Physical Therapy without a referral from your physician. No doctor visit first. No MRI first. No waiting.
We encourage every patient to take this path. It is faster, it costs less, and it gets you into the hands of the right provider sooner. We bill your insurance the exact same way whether you come to us with a referral or without one — same codes, same coverage, same benefits. The only difference is you skipped weeks of waiting and hundreds of dollars in unnecessary visits.
If your evaluation reveals something that needs imaging or a specialist referral, we will tell you and guide you to the right next step. That is part of what we do. But for the vast majority of musculoskeletal conditions, you do not need permission to start getting better. You just need to call.

Flat rate. $125 in Edgerton. $135 in Fitchburg. Same price whether it’s your first exam or your tenth follow-up.
5 visits with us = 5 hours of care for $625–$675. That is the price of 1–2 visits at a hospital-based clinic.
HSA and FSA accepted on all self-pay visits.
