Vestibular Rehabilitation at Forward Physical Therapy
Dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems can be debilitating — but they’re treatable. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy are trained in vestibular assessment and rehabilitation, providing comprehensive evaluation and targeted treatment for the full spectrum of vestibular conditions.
Conditions We Treat
- BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) — the most common cause of vertigo, treated with canalith repositioning maneuvers
- Vestibular neuritis and labyrinthitis — inflammation-related dizziness and imbalance
- Ménière’s disease — management of episodic vertigo and balance dysfunction
- Post-concussion dizziness — vestibular symptoms following head injury
- Age-related balance decline — fall prevention through vestibular and balance training
- Cervicogenic dizziness — dizziness originating from the neck
Comprehensive Vestibular Assessment
We don’t guess. Our evaluation includes oculomotor screening, positional testing (Dix-Hallpike, roll test), gaze stabilization assessment, dynamic visual acuity testing, and functional balance evaluation. We pinpoint exactly where the dysfunction is and build your treatment plan from there.
Targeted Treatment
- Canalith repositioning maneuvers (Epley, Semont, BBQ roll) for BPPV
- Habituation exercises for motion sensitivity
- Gaze stabilization training (VOR exercises)
- Balance retraining and fall prevention
- Cervical spine manual therapy for cervicogenic components
No Referral Needed
Wisconsin’s Direct Access law means you can see a physical therapist without a doctor’s referral. If you’re dealing with dizziness or balance problems, don’t wait.
